Youtube delivers video in a player that runs inside browser. Each time that you wish to see same video, you should go online. This is something which makes a person like me little worried. I would like to save the video and play it whenever i want - connected or not. There are primarily two reasons, one that wasting bandwidth may not be a good idea, second that i don't know for how long youtube will host that video. There are ways to download youtube video, it is just that youtube has been designed not to help you.
The problem with taking services world a little far is that it makes world less certain. It is all nice till you have services for your need. But services can disappear anytime and one cannot be certain of the need being fulfilled.
To me we should abide by the principle - "Whatever comes to my PC should be allowed to be saved. I am the owner of whatever data comes to my PC."
